34th Young Musician International Competition
‘Città di Barletta’ Live Edition May 7 – 12, 2024
The 34th Young Musician International Competition ‘Città di Barletta’ will take place LIVE in Barletta (Italy) at the wonderful Curci Theatre with the following Schedule.
The Young Soloist Prize (strings, winds and guitar) and the Chamber Music Prize will take place from May 7th to May 9th, 2024.
The Young Pianist Prize and the Composition Prize will take place from May 10th to May 12th, 2024.
During these years ‘Città di Barletta’ has become one of the most important competitions for young musicians and for the music schools all around the world. During the previous edition we had about 300 participants coming from 30 different Nations.
The 2024 edition will have 4 different sections:
– International Young Pianist Prize (Piano Solo)
– InternationalYoung Soloist Prize (Strings, Guitar and Winds)
– International Chamber Music Prize (From Duo to Ensemble)
– International Composition Prize – 3 Categories: for Solo Instrument (with or without electronics),
from 2 to 4 performers (with or without electronics) and Acousmatic.
The Competition will provide totally more than 10.000 Euros of cash prizes and 10 Prize-Concerts for the winners.
The deadline for sending the application form has been extended to April 26, 2024.
The Competition is open to the young musicians of all over the world and during the past years we discovered fantastic music talents.
For the 2024 Edition the Prizes for all the Sections have been increased with the establishment of the Special Prizes ‘Marida Bonadies-Barletta Ricettiva’ for the Chamber Music and Piano Sections in addition to the Special Prizes of the past Editions, and execution, registration, publication and diffusion on line of the winner compositions.
In addition, in order to encourage the participation of Young Artists, the registration fees for the various Sections have been reduced.
We wish all the young Musicians will found in this Competition a place where their sensibility and music will be valorised.
